Dear Comrades in Arms,
I would like to repeat the bad news for you, for all members of the family, and
for those who adore hard work and simplicity, and that is that Pak Bintoro will
not come to school today.
For the final years of his life, his body was clouded by illness. That cloud has
now been lifted. He is himself again - perhaps more himself than at any time on
this earth of mankind. For we may be sure that the Big Guy Upstairs never
forgets those who strive to serve the healthier despite their illness.
We here still move in dark. But we have a beautiful firefly to guide us that Pak
Bintoro never had. We have his example. Pak Bintoro dedicated his life to set an
example for us, and he may continue his journey rightfully because of that
effort.
Let us give thanks today for a life that achieved so much for all of us.
